| Didn't know where to post this, so I decided to play it safe and call it a discussion.
I noticed the discussion in the shoutbox about what elements in the game we planned on specializing in, and I thought it would be a good idea to have a more permanent version of that, so we could be aware of what kind of mages we have, and thus what our strengths and weaknesses are.
I personally tried to be a jack-of-all-trades, but thanks to the excellent advice I've found here, I plan on specializing in Shadow magic from here on out. How about everyone else?
EDIT: I am now specializing in Earth, since I have sold the wand that boosts my Shadow spells, thus equalizing my spell levels.

| I've gone for fire, with a off-spec for healing It always pays off specializing in all games, at least that's what i've gotten used to | |

| I have taken Water, because I've loved Water/Ice magic for the past 7 years and it has become a part of me... | |

| Shadows of mine
Schatten im Angesicht des Todes Wirre Bilder alte Geschichten Der Hauch des Todes vernebelt die Sinne Fixierter Wahnsinn - der Abhang von dem Sprung Letzte Gedanken - Die letzte Chance Die Zeit scheint zu stehen Zu stehen
Shadows of mine - Ich schau thin in die Fratze Shadows of mine - Verschwimmende der Bilder in der Stille Shadows of mine - Shadows of mine - Shadows of mine

| Those are 2 way different schools... You should go with air or healing after water... Everything is connected... I mean, I don't care, and the game doesn't care and you can do whatever you want... I just like to think beyond the game, makes it more fun. | |

| Haha... The game doesn't work like that - you can take any spells with no penalties and bonuses (except the 'dominus' bonuses), but it is not important which spell schools you mix.
My opinion, personally, is that when you specially for instance in Water, that you become too involved with it to simply start learning something completely opposite like fire. Mages are smart and powerful, but if you're not careful, you burn yourself up from the inside. As I said, I have a more 'story' view of the game and magic than a 'power' view. | |

| I am an earth mage . I actually looked at it and found that most of the defensive weapons at the low levels were among the most expensive so I figured that it might lead to some early success. | |
